Information for Applicants
Applicants may be required to undertake initial assessments in English and Mathematics with the aim to meet minimum entry requirements for their chosen course in order to obtain an offer of a place at Regent Skills Training. If for any reason, applicants are unsuccessful in meeting the minimum entry requirements for their chosen course, the advisor will make suitable alternative recommendations for any other courses that could lead toward the individual’s goals and ambition, this may be studying with Regent Skills Training or sign posting them to an alternative provider.
We may consider prior attainment in order to waive the English and Maths initial assessments (subject to how long before qualifications were achieved) upon enrolment however, all students would be asked to attend a mandatory information, advice and guidance interviewing session with a member of the admissions team. Commonly, we accept Functional Skills and GCSEs as suitable prior attainment achievements to enrol onto our courses, however, we consider behaviour, punctuality and attendance a key factor and may request further information on this from applicants.
