Regent Skills Training “Live”
Regent Skills Training has now been running since July 2014, offering a range of courses in Business, Health and Social Care and Child Care. We working in conjunction with one of the most prestigious Awarding Organisations (Pearson EDEXCEL) which enables Regent to offer nationally and internationally recognised qualifications to our Students.
Regent Skills has two main areas of delivery; BTEC Nationals and Work Based Learning, having this 2 sections at the College allows the development of individuals and businesses by looking into the skills needed and translating this into individual plans.
BTEC Nationals are directed to individuals who look to improve and/or gain new skills in order to improve careers prospective, extend their knowledge and gain further qualifications. The structures of the courses are flexible so that students can choose the most appropriate time for their studies, allowing them to work or attend to any other commitments. Courses are run in the morning and in the evening and attendance is required for only 16 hours per week.
There is pleasant atmosphere in the classroom and planning takes place around individual learners needs, teachers are very experienced in the subject and in providing students with individualised support so that everyone has the same changes to succeed in the courses
Regent Skills Work Based Learning department specialises in the delivery of knowledge and competence based qualifications and works in conjunctions with employers to ensure that these are tailored to the organisation and their staff training needs. The main areas of delivery are Health and Social Care and Child Care but Regent also provides qualifications in Business Administration, Customer Service and Management.
Our experienced team of Assessors/Teachers are able to design a delivery plan according to the dynamics of organisations, this means that Regent applies a blended delivery model which will maximise learning opportunities without causing much disruption to working practices.
A large investment has been put into Regent Skills Training and the College is currently developing a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) for students. This virtual learning environment will support the delivery practices and will add webinars, video conference, electronic resources and Students Forums, making student experiences more enjoyable. One of the other developments simultaneously running is the e-portfolio system which will make easier and safer the access to learners individual’s work by all involved in the learner journey, including the employer.
There are many more development and there will be more events which Regent will be organising for our students and the community, this will be announced during our Regent News publications, so why don’t you come and speak to a member of our team who will be able to provide you with in-depth Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) about any career wishes and aspirations that you may have.
